You're Invited
We're looking forward to celebrating Easter with you this year!
Our weekend begins with Good Friday, a day to remember the death of Jesus on the cross as a sacrifice for our sin. We leave this evening in darkness, but look forward to the hope of the resurrection that we will celebrate together on Easter Sunday!
Join us starting at 9AM on Easter Sunday, March 31, for our egg hunt. We'll have breakfast refreshments and family activities after the egg hunt, before our worship gathering begins at 10:30. Click below for more information.

God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Good Friday
March 29
It was now about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour, while the sun’s light failed. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” And having said this he breathed his last. Now when the centurion saw what had taken place, he praised God, saying, “Certainly this man was innocent!” And all the crowds that had assembled for this spectacle, when they saw what had taken place, returned home beating their breasts. And all his acquaintances and the women who had followed him from Galilee stood at a distance watching these things.

Good Friday Service
Ray Elementary School, 5631 S Kimbark Ave, at 7:00 PM
Good Friday is a time to mourn, lament, confess, and grieve. During this service, we will remember Christ's sacrifice, as he went to the cross to suffer the worst punishment anyone could ever face. He was falsely accused, beaten, tortured, nailed to the cross, and eventually killed. As horrible as this all was, his greatest suffering was the separation from God, which was the consequence all of us deserve for our sin. The only reason Good Friday is considered "good" is that it was good for us. By his stripes, we are healed. Join us as we awaken our hearts to His sacrifice.
Park's Near South region churches will come together for one Good Friday service. The service will be held at Park Hyde Park's location. Childcare will not be provided.

Easter Sunday
March 31
Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men. But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you.” So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.

Zhou B Art Center, 1029 W. 35th Street, at 9:30 AM
Following our egg hunt, you're invited to join us at the Zhou B Art Center for refreshments and family activities. We'll be on the second floor enjoying pastries, fruit, and coffee before our worship service.

Easter Worship Gathering
Zhou B Art Center, 1029 W. 35th Street, at 10:30 AM
During this time, we will celebrate the good news of Christ's resurrection. We will begin by singing together, hear a sermon from our pastor, celebrate baptisms, and enjoy our Easter choir.
Our Easter service will last about an hour and fifteen minutes. While many people enjoy dressing up for Easter, we believe it’s what’s inside a person that matters, not the outside. At Park, we feel people should be able to come as they are, and not feel judged. We care about you, not what you wear!
Families are invited to join us in whichever way they are most comfortable. We will have kids activity packs for those families who would like to stay in the worship service. For families that would like a little more space to move around, we'll offer a live stream on the third floor of Zhou B, in our ministry center called The Bridge. Families will be able to enjoy snacks and some toys while watching the service on the big screen.

Each week is centered around a short talk and a discussion at the end where you can share your thoughts and ask questions. No question is too basic or too big. We will be meeting in person, at Park Bridgeport's space on the third floor of Zhou B Art Center, on Thursdays, from 6:45-8:30 PM from April 4 through June 6.
