Our elders are the spiritual leaders at Park Bridgeport, providing pastoral oversight and biblical direction for our church family.

Kensen Lam

Bridgeport Pastor & Near South Regional Pastor
Churchwide Elder

Kensen has served as pastor of Park Community Church since 2010.  He holds a Master of Divinity from Moody Bible Institute and a Doctor of Ministry from Biola University. Kensen was born and raised in Bridgeport. Upon graduation from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor's in Bioengineering, he married his college sweetheart, Susan, in 2003. They have four sons and currently live in the McKinley Park neighborhood. Kensen loves Jesus, his family, Chicago, and Taco Bell.

Paul Boye

Bridgeport Elder

Paul began attending Park in 2010 and serving as an elder in 2020. He lives in Bridgeport with his three children and works in the nonprofit and education space.

Tim Bierma

Bridgeport Elder

Tim has served as an elder since 2025 after attending Park since 2017 when he moved to Chicago. Tim works in campus ministry with international students and is currently working towards a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies from Biola University. He lives in Bridgeport with his wife Carolyn and enjoys reading and triathlons.

Our staff is a passionate group of individuals whose desire is to use their talents to see the gospel transform our city and our world.

Kavin Chung

Music Coordinator

Kavin has been Bridgeport’s Music Coordinator since 2017. In his role, he oversees our music ministry to try to create a worshipful atmosphere each Sunday. He is also an office manager at Children’s Dental World, just a few blocks away from the Zhou B Art Center. Kavin was born and raised in the Detroit area, but has lived in Chicago since 2012.  His true loves are Michigan Wolverines football, Dungeons & Dragons, and AYCE sushi.

Nicole Twu

Director of Women's and Church Ministry

Nicole has been on staff at Bridgeport since 2018, but has called Park home since 2010. A lifelong Southsider, Nicole’s only time living outside of the Bridgeport area were her years in Urbana at the University of Illinois. Prior to joining staff, Nicole worked in medical research. She lives in Bridgeport with her husband and their two sons.

Brock Lockenour

Pastoral Resident for Small Groups

After years of faithfully serving our Sunday ministry teams, Brock joined staff  in 2022. In his current role, he oversees our small group ministry. Brock was raised in Central Illinois, coming to Chicago to attend Moody Bible Institute. He and Sami have previously worked in other ministries in the Bridgeport area. They’ve called Park home since 2019 and currently live in McKinley Park.

Simon Hu

Connections Coordinator

Originally born and raised in Bridgeport, Simon and his family have been grateful to call Park Bridgeport home since moving back to Chicago in 2023. As our Connections Coordinator, Simon is excited to nurture the same deep sense of hospitality and belonging for newcomers that he experienced when first visiting and support the Connections Team's continued growth. Outside of ministry, Simon works full-time in Human Resources, enjoys trips to Costco, and is a proud Slytherin.

Samantha Lockenour

Children's Coordinator

Sami has served in our children’s ministry for years, and officially stepped into the staff role in 2023. She is responsible for our Sunday morning Loop Kids gatherings, as well as ministering to our families throughout the week. A native of Central Illinois, Sami attended college at Moody Bible Institute and holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Moody Theological Seminary. She and Brock have called Park home since 2019 and currently live in McKinley Park
